We continued our summer roadtrip with a rainy cable car ride from Ortisei to Seceda, where we stayed the night at Fermeda hut.
We only stayed one night in Moena and did not have enough time to explore this cute little town. So we had breakfast in the morning, checked out at the hotel and went to the car that was parked a bit further away from the hotel.
Then we drove to Ortisei. We parked in the parking garage and walked to the cable car that took us from Ortisei to Seceda. It was raining and quite cool. Luckily we made the long hike the day before with good conditions.
It was quite cloudy and rainy when we arrived at the top of Seceda, but we decided to hike to a the lookout point anyway. There is a smaller path that leads to a “more secret” lookout point next to a panorama metal band.
It is not really a secret, but we were alone there for some time until more people came to take their pictures. The viewpoint is great to capture a different perspective of this beautiful mountain plateau.
From the viewpoint we walked down the mountain for about 40 minutes until we reached our accommodation for the night, the Fermeda hut. Exhausted from the previous day we lay down for a while, relaxed and waited for dinner. There was a 4-course dinner (buffet, starter, main course, dessert), which surprised us, as the hut was quite small and so far up the mountain. But it was very delicious. So we let the evening come to an end and went to sleep in time to hike back up the mountain the next morning at sunrise.
